[Gene watches, notices the shiver, but doesn't say anything. That's kind of what he does - he often feels like an observer, like he's not quite a part of the group or the wider context even if sometimes, he absolutely does. It's weird and complicated, and it's easier to just not dwell on it.

He also doesn't know Jimmy well enough yet to know when or how to push, or if he even should. He wants to help him, but he knows you can't force someone to be saved - that's something they need to figure out on their own.

So it does kind of feel awkward or uncomfortable, but not because Jimmy's here. The room just doesn't quite fit right anymore, and Gene doesn't know where to start, really.]


Better than it could've been, [He finally offers a little wryly, thinking back on his first flood, and how at least this time, he wasn't pinning anyone to the wall trying to wrestle their toy guns away from them.] Guess it was nice to see snow.
